Icom is
one of the world's oldest and most respected communications
manufacturers. Communications is all they
do and therefore their radios are among the best quality
and most technically advanced. We like Icom because
they are a Japanese company that has continued to make
their own products... despite the temptations of lower
costs/higher profits by outsourcing their manufacturing
to China that most (if not all) companies have given
in to.
Most of the above handheld and mobile radios
below have option slots for simple plug-in installation
of optional Voice Scramblers, LTR Trunking, SmarTrunk
Trunking, Man Down Units, etc... Most radios can
be used both for conventional and trunking service simultaneously! Icom
Land Mobile products are available from simple 2 channel
radios to models having many, many features and up to
512 alpha-numeric channels! Icom Land Mobile products
carry a 3 Year Warranty at ME2Way with
the option for 5 year if desired.

Radios: Icom Dominates" - Powerboat Reports
and Practical Sailor, 8.01
The highly respected publications Powerboat
Reports and Practical Sailor, which accept no advertising and
are not pressured to run favorable reviews on offerings from
big companies with huge ad budgets, just reviewed three ICOM
marine radios and compared them against the competition. Guess
who came out on top? ICOM, simply the best!

Is your fire pager not quite
getting a strong enough signal to be reliable? Use a portable
radio that has much better "hearing" than a pager...
and use it to sign on "10-8" as well! Carry one
device instead of two!

Icom Wireless
Local Area Networking

Outdoor wireless LAN bridge
The SB-110 links two or more remote LANs over the air at 11Mbps for a
distance of up to 800m (half mile) at line of sight. Outdoor
set up gives the advantage of building to building network connection
and eliminates the need for expensive leased lines or messy wiring.
Wireless Access Point
The Access Point mode allows wireless access to a wired LAN or the Internet. An
ideal solution for people on the move, temporary worksites and business
where network access outdoors is needed. Network clients can easily
access the network with an IEEE 802.11b compatible network card/adapter
and a PC.
